Godeo Barrera Antoine
Senior Recruitment Expert
Who am I?
My name is Antoine Godeo Barrera, I’m 28 years old, and I’m from France. I’m passionate about sports, especially competitive disciplines, and more specifically archery, which has inspired me greatly through the Olympic Games. I also enjoy other sports like basketball and tennis, where the idea of pushing oneself beyond limits really makes sense. Outside of sports, I am also a big fan of Ireland, a country that represents for me vast green spaces and the joy of life.
I gravitate around values such as sharing, empathy, and especially loyalty. These principles influence my daily work and my interactions with others, whether it’s my colleagues or the candidates I meet. What led me to choose recruitment is my desire to combine the human aspect of human resources with the competitive aspect. My first internship at Lactalis allowed me to discover the world of HR and convinced me that recruitment was a field where I could truly thrive, bringing a dimension of performance and the pursuit of excellence.
My recruitment experience
I’ve been working in recruitment for 4-5 years, primarily in sectors such as engineering, electronics, and IT. My professional journey has allowed me to evolve and adapt to very diverse environments, whether at Lactalis, in the automotive industry with Faurecia, or more recently in consulting. These experiences have made me a more well-rounded recruiter, with a 360° view of each recruitment cycle.
The key steps in my recruitment approach are focused on communication and understanding the expectations of candidates, but also the managers I work with. I place great importance on good rapport and the sharing of information with my interlocutors. What I particularly look for in a candidate is the ability to take a step back, a sense of humility, and a clear ambition to progress.
My first recruitment experience at Lactalis’ headquarters remains a defining moment for me. It was an opportunity to work with an exceptional manager who knew how to combine professional rigor with respect, allowing me to give my best.
What I appreciate at PG
Since joining PG two months ago, I particularly appreciate the accessibility and support I’ve received. From my first days as a recruiter, I felt genuine support and sincere attention to my well-being and integration. PG values autonomy and responsibility in its employees, which is a key aspect for me. Having the possibility and means to fight for my goals while knowing I can rely on solid support when needed is important to me.
I feel a real sense of kindness and mutual support within the teams, whether within our John Cockerill team or among all PG recruiters. This dynamic of helping and sharing allows me to continue moving forward positively in my work and always strive to push myself further.
